It's a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Why did the well-liked 3rd Wing Commander at Elmendorf AFB Alaska take his own life with a handgun? And why would he do that in his home with his beloved wife and college-age daughter in a near-by room?

Gen. Thomas Tinsley left no "suicide note," sources say, and the base public affairs office confirms the charismatic leader was not under investigation.

"There is no indication of foul play being involved here," said Lt. Col. Michael Paoli.

A high-ranking Air Force official involved in a controversy that included a local company was found dead Sunday at his Virginia home.

Charles D. Riechers, 47, principal deputy assistant secretary for acquisitions, was found dead of an apparent suicide, The Washington Post reported Tuesday. The Post said an Air Force memo said the cause of death was unknown pending an autopsy, but there were no obvious signs of foul play.

Riechers was the subject of an Oct. 1 article in The Washington Post examining his employment at Richland Township-based Commonwealth Research Institute, a nonprofit that conducted intelligence work for the Air Force. CRI is a subsidiary of Concurrent Technologies Corp.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Air Force officials say the body of an enlisted airman has been found at her off-base Arlington apartment.

Bolling Air Force Base officials say 23-year-old Senior Airman Senior Airman Sabrina Autrey was found dead Wednesday. She was a member of the 11th Mission Support Squadron Military Personnel Flight assigned to the Pentagon.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of her death.

Oczywiście nie mogli ich zamordować wszystkich razem. Zresztą liczba też nie ma znaczenia, czy ich było 20-tu czy kilku. Ważne że są podejrzane śmierci oficerów.
