Notes on a French scandal
Although we Americans haven’t paid much attention to this bit of news, there have been little snippets here about French President Nicolas Sarkozy being involved in a scandal where he accepted hundreds of thousands of euros from L’Oreal heiress, Liliane Bettencourt for his 2007 election campaign. The whole incident is believed to have been sparked by Liliane Bettencourt’s daughter, Francoise Bettencourt-Meyers, who was concerned about large sums of money being given away from her mother’s accounts. Liliane Bettencourt is the richest woman in Europe and her daughter asked a French court in November or December 2009 to look into her mother’s financial situation and to place her mother’s funds under judicial supervision. Apparently she was afraid that her mother was being taken advantage of and obviously had concerns about if she would have anything left to inherit from her mother.
Bettencourt-Meyers’ petition to the court had a domino effect which resulted in one of Bettencourt’s butlers submitting tape recordings to investigators of her talking about her contributions to politicians and a former Bettencourt accountant claiming she was ordered by her boss, Patrice de Maistre, to take large sums of money from Bettencourt’s accounts to give to Sarkozy’s 2007 campaign. De Maistre, who is Bettencourt’s chief financial advisor, told investigators she gave money from those accounts to Eric Woerth, who was in charge of Sarkozy’s campaign finances and is now France’s labor minister–the same labor minister who is fighting to raise France’s retirement age. In the opinion of some French citizens, Woerth has been taking measures that set to weaken the middle class financially. And as if the tangled web couldn’t get any more tangled, Woerth’s wife Florence used to manage some of Bettencourt’s funds.
The typical American would just dismiss such a news story as just another European scandal that really has no effect on us here in the U.S. But if you take a closer look at the situation and go beyond what the news outlets are telling us on the surface, the scandal reveals international implications. First of all, did you know that L’Oreal has had board members who are part of the Bilderberg Group? Marc Ladreit de Lacharriere and Maucher Helmuth, who both served on L’Oreal’s board in the past as well as on the boards of other major corporations, have been involved in the Bilderberg Group. Sarkozy has also had some involvement in Bilderberg. So I suspect that the Bilderbergers probably have a hand in this situation. Nevertheless, even in the midst of these investigations and even if everything is brought to the courts, if there is truly involvement of the Bilderberg Group in this situation , it will not be brought to light.
Bettencourt’s attorney denies allegations that she was out to influence politicians, but I think this is clearly what was intended. This demonstrates that there is serious quid pro quo going on at the highest levels of government all over the world so that the richest people can rule the world by bringing the ideals of the Bilderberg Group (and other New World Order groups) into fruition. One such ideal is to bring the middle class peoples of the world to extinction to create a ruling class and a servant class, like the fiefdoms of the Medieval Times.
However, their plans have had mixed results. The New World Order groups were hoping to establish the euro as the one world currency, but they shot themselves in the foot by pushing a financial crisis in Europe to get rid of the middle class that ended up devaluing their precious currency in the process. Their financial crisis could also affect the U.S. if the spending of the Obama administration is not reigned in and the jaw-dropping deficit is not eliminated. All in all, I think this shows that what Bilderberg and others are trying to do here in the U.S. are the same things they are attempting in Europe and other places.
Even if Sarkozy and his political party are weakened by the brewing scandal, the Bilderbergers will just place other candidates on the ballots in France to run in opposition to his party so that in the end no matter who is voted for, the Bilderbergers will have someone to serve them in the government–just like they do here in the U.S. And those candidates will as usual be promoted by the Bilderberg-owned news media. That is, unless the people who love democracy and push off their apathy rise up to promote a candidate untainted by Bilderberg.
As a Christian, I would say that the French scandal shows how God can work behind the scenes using a disagreement between a mother and daughter or using people who are seen as insignificant like butlers to thwart or delay what Satan is working to bring to pass through influential people like the Bilderbergers. It also shows that pride really goes before a fall like it says in Proverbs. Lastly, it shows the depths to which one will stoop morally and ethically when one has no fear of God.
The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. …He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. …Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. [Psalm 10:2, 11, 14]
Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? [Isaiah 29:15]
…be sure your sin will find you out. [Numbers 32:23]
